Beth Jens, Ambassadorial Scholar

We had a small and intimate group this week and for those of you who missed the meeting, we had a fantastic speaker!  Beth Jens is an Ambassadorial Scholar from a very small town in Australia.  Her life long dream is to become an astronaut.

To achieve her goal she isa Fulbright scholar studying for her master degree in Aeronautics at Stanford University and was accepted and attended a program at NASA.  She had applied for both programs, not dreaming that she would ever be accepted and her wishes came true and her acceptance was granted.  Now she had to figure out how to pay for this?  Thru her boss at the Sushi shop she was working at, she was introduced to Rotary. Today she is so appreciative of  the help she received from Rotary as she could have never attended the program at NASA or Stanford without it.   

She was truly an inspirational speaker and an exceptional example of the New Generation!
